General Track Rules

1. 1. Initial start will begin at designated point in turn 4. Lead cars will have two (2) tries to begin the race. After the second try if the race is not started, lead cars will be inverted with the second row cars. Any car that brings out the yellow flag on the first lap will go to the back of the pack.
   
2. 
   2. Jumping is not allowed. First offense for Jumping - you will get a warning. Second offense - you will go to the back of the pack. Jumping on restarts - you will be moved to the rear.
3. 
   3. Any car entering the pit or leaving the track under the yellow or red flag will be put in the rear.
4. 
   4. All cars must take original green flag start to receive any winnings in that race.
5. 
   5. Any car causing a yellow or red flag incident will restart in the rear of the line-up.
6. 
   6. All restart line-ups will go back to the last completed green flag lap.
   
   
7. 7. Any car bringing out three (3) cautions in one race will be black flagged to the pits for the remainder of that race.
8. 
   8. No one is allowed on the track except track officials. NO EXCEPTIONS! Anyone caught on the track could result in removal from the pit area.
9. 
   9. No working on cars on the track, unless done by track official.
10. 
    10. Official line-up will be posted in the pits. After entering the track, cars will be given one (1) lap in their proper start position.
11. 
    11. The track officials will rule upon any incident or occurrence not covered by these rules.
12. 
    12. There is a 30-minute time limit on all features and B-Main's. Clock stops on any red flag.
13. 
    13. Anyone bringing out an intentional yellow flag will be sent to the pits.
14. 
    14. Two (2) courtesy laps will be given for a flat on the first lap of feature race only.
15. 
    15. Car numbers must be at least 18 inches tall and easily seen from the judge's booth on both sides and roof of car.
    
16. 
    16. The top 3 cars in any class must go to the Tech area immediately after feature race.
17. 
    17. Courtesy Rule: Any car from another track with minor rule differences may at Management’s discretion, race on that night but will be notified of any modifications and will have to be legal on the next visit to the track.
18. 
    18. Anyone changing drivers or cars from Heat race to Feature must start at the rear of the field. If changing drivers or cars, you must notify track official or you will be disqualified. Any Driver changing cars must use a car in that class.
19. 
    19. Any disorderly conduct from driver or crew member toward any driver or track official will be disqualified for the remainder of that race

Flags

1. 1. Red Flag means all cars must stop immediately. All cars go to the top of the track and stop immediately.
   
   
2. 2. Green Flag and lights mean racing.
   
   
3. 3. Black Flag means unsafe car conditions, (flats, excessive smoking, loose car parts, etc.) Cars will be warned with the black in case of minor incidents. Rough driving will result sin immediate removal from the track for the remainder of that race. Anyone refusing to leave the track when black flagged will results in suspension of two (2) race nights.
   
   
4. 4. Blue-Yellow Flag means that you must move to the outside allowing faster cars to pass. Anyone not abiding by this flag will be subject to the black flag.
   
   
5. 5. Yellow Flag means caution, slow down immediately and maintain position.
   
   
6. 6. White Flag means that there is one lap remaining in that race. No yellow or red flag will be thrown at this point unless a hazardous condition exists.
   
   
7. 7. The flagman and/or the track officials will make all flag decisions.

Protest Rules

1. The track reserves the right to inspect any car at any time. This includes use of P & G gauge.
   
   
2. Visual protest must be made within 5 minutes before the feature race.
3. Any protest must be made within 5 minutes after the feature race is completed. The end of protest time will be announced.
   
   
4. Only the top ten (10) cars can protest in any feature race. The protest must be made by the owner or driver of the car in cash. Forward protest only.
   
   
5. Any car that is protested will be torn down in a designated area. There will be a 2 hr. limit on tear downs.
   
   
6. Track will keep $25.00 from top half protest and $50.00 from any complete protest regardless whether the car is legal or illegal.
   
   
7. If a driver refuses to tear down or is found illegal, he will lose his winnings, trophy, and points for that night and will be fined $200.00 or suspended for two (2) weeks. Money will be placed in the points fund.
   
   
8. If a driver refuses to tear down or is found illegal a second time, he will lose his winnings and trophy for that night and his points for the year. Also, he will be fined $400.00 or suspended for 4 weeks or moved up to the next class.
   
   Maximum number of cars that can be protested is two (2).
   
   
9. Protest Fees:
   
   Clutch: $150.00 (Clutch Protest in Street Class Only)
   Top Half: $250.00
   Complete: $450 (plus $150.00 for the crank)
   
   
10. Protest Definitions:
    
    Clutch: You must remove for inspection; clutch, pressure plate and flywheel.
    
    Top Half: You must remove for inspection; carburetor, distributor, intake manifold, 1 cyl. head (protester choice) rocker arms, push rods, lifter, 1 exhaust valve, 1 intake valve. Bore, stroke, and piston will be checked also.
    
    Complete: Clutch and top half will be included plus removal of 1 piston and rod. Crank shaft will be checked also.

Safety Rules

1. 1. There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages or use of any controlled substances in the pit area before, during, or after the race program. Anyone deemed under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, or having either in their possession will be immediately suspended. In the event of a violation of a controlled substance, the proper authorities will be notified. Any vehicles, trailers, or coolers are subject to be searched before entering the pits.
   
   
2. 2. Drivers are responsible for their crew.
   
   
3. 3. All drivers in all classes must wear a full fire suit and a full crash helmet.
   
   
4. 4. All cars must have a window net and at least three (3) bars or mesh wire in front of the driver.
   
   
5. 5. All drivers must wear 4 points 3 inch, quick release safety harness securely mounted to the roll cage. Seat belts must be within 2 years of the manufactured date. Racing seat is required. NO EXCEPTIONS!
   
   
6. 6. Speed limit anywhere in the pits is idle speed only!
   
   
7. 7. No one is allowed to argue or discuss any item with track officials while a race is in progress.
8. 
   8. Abusive or improper language by anyone will not be tolerated at Clayhill Motor Sports. Any type of physical assault towards anyone may result in fines or barring from the speedway.
   
   9. All bolt on weight must have two (2) bolts and mounted properly.

E-MODS

1. 1. Engine 360 max cubic inch with GM 350 block & stock 3.48 crank. Flat top pistons. Ford 361 (351 stock block & stroke) Mopar 370 (360 stoke block & stroke). No 400 or Aluminum blocks.
3. 2. Roller rockers allowed. Must pull 14# minimum of vacuum at 1000 RPM.
5. 3. No roller cam shafts or lifters. No bleeddown lifters.
7. 4. Carburetor can be no larger than Holley #4412 500 CFM 2 barrel and must pass inspection from top side with gauge. Bottom of carb can be no larger than 1-11/16” in diameter. (Must be stock ventura 1-3/8”) may run stock rochester 2 barrel (subject to be pulled off and checked)
9. 5. Alcohol or racing fuel OK. No additives.
11. 6. OEM cast iron heads: SR &Vortec heads OK. 2.02” intake & 1.60 exhaust valves max.
13. 7. No angle plugs allowed. No porting or polishing of heads & intake. No match porting of intake to heads. No angle milling. No aluminum heads.
15. 8. No mismatching of engine parts GM to GM, Ford to Ford.
17. 9. Aluminum intake manifold, pulleys, valve covers, radiators, & water pumps are allowed.
19. 10. No belt drive fuel pumps or oil pumps.
21. 11. Rear fuel cell panel optional.
23. 12. 8” max. Rear spoiler. To be measured from deck to full length of spoiler including wicker bill & angles.
25. 13. Weight with driver after race 2450 lbs. Minimum.
27. 14. Tires: Hoosier asphalt take-offs, no recaps, Hoosier G60's American Racer KK704 Compound must check 50 or harder. Grooving and siping allowed.
29. 15. Steel wheel only 8” max. Beadlock on rightside only.
31. 16. Trans: OEM 3 or 4 speed only. Any clutch & pressure plate. Automatic must have working 10” torque converter minimum. No direct drive, no bert or brinn transmissions. Quartermaster is okay.
33. 17. Aluminum flywheel OK.
35. 18. MSD or HEI ignition allowed.
37. 19. No mag type distributors.
39. 20. No quick change rearend
41. 21. One shock per wheel

Street Stock Cars

ENGINE

1. 15 inches of vacuum at 1000 r.p.m. 362 cubic inches max. No stroking or destroking allowed. Stock 5.7 factory production rod. Dished or flat top 2 or 4 valve relief pistons allowed. Pistons must stay flush with or below top of the block. Factory passenger production heads only, no dart, no boetie, or aluminum heads allowed. No angle plugs or performance heads. Stock valve springs with 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust valves. GM to GM. Stock valve spring with 1.94 intake and 1.65 exhaust FORD to FORD. Poly locks permitted. No polishing, porting or match porting anywhere, no milling inside chambers, each chamber must have a 55 cc minimum volume. Stock ratio rockers with stock diameter pushrods. 1 ¼ inch adapter plate under carburetor allowed. Stock 2 barrel carburetor for engine claimed. Removal of choke plate allowed. Engine in stock location, engine cannot be set back any further than number 1 plug in line with the ball joints. Headers or manifolds allowed. No 180 degree headers. Must run gasoline. No alcohol. Stock HEI ignition, no mags, super coil, no electric fuel pumps. Hydraulic cam and lifters only. Balancing of engine is permitted. 3/8 screw in studs or pinned studs allowed, guide plates allowed. One radiator in stock position and no extra storage. GM means - GM part numbers, any cast-iron intake 2 or 4 barrel.  No porting or polishing anywhere. Factory forged cast-iron or steel crankshaft with GM factory casting numbers. No knifing. 50 lb. minimum weight. 500 CFM Holley allowed 1-11/16 throttle bore maximum. No traction control.

SUSPENSION

1. 1. All suspension mounts must be in stock location and in original position.
2. 
   2. Racing springs and shocks allowed. Hiem joints are allowed on rear shocks. Adjustable springs spacers allowed. 2 inch max. lowering blocks allowed. No wedge blocks.
3. 
   3. No adjustable bars. No weight jacks. Added weight must be bolted in with two (2) bolts.

DRIVE TRAIN

1. 1. Min. 10 ½ inch flywheel allowed.
2. 
   2. Flywheel must weigh a min. of 20 pounds.
3. 
   3. Drive shaft loop within 6 inches of front U-joint.
4. 
   4. No button clutches, quarter masters, or performance clutches.
