Atwood, TN: From the pole T.J. Herndon #15X took the lead right away and never looked back for the first half of the race. Matt Cooper #18 started from outside row number two, jumped into the 2nd spot on the first lap and retained that position until lap 25, when the 7th place starter, Jared Wagster #9W stole 2nd place away to set his sights on TJ Herndon for first.

After Jared moved into the 2nd spot, he began to reel in TJ Herndon, when on lap 42 Wagster would look inside of TJ to take the lead. Jared Wagster had to hold of the hard charge of Herndon for a two lap dash to the finish after a caution. Wagster held his ground to the inside as TJ would have to make the pass to the outside with Matt Cooper in 3rd just waiting for that one last bit of energy or that one mistake by one of the leaders.

Coming out of turn 4 with the checkered flag in the air Jared Wagster would see the victory just ahead as Matt Cooper would see that one mistake by 2nd place TJ Herndon. Herndon wanted to give it that one last shot, but the rear of his car stepped out on him and around he went, giving Matt Cooper 2nd place with Jared Wagster taking home the $6000 win in the 50 lap main event.
